Slate
The slate is a metamorphic rock with excellent durability and tensile strength. It forms in thin sheets where stone meets considerable heat or pressure from underground magma below it, which causes them to split into slabs with exceptional quality for roofing purposes among other things
The most popular type of slate is grey, which ranges from light to dark.
It can also be found in green or brown shades depending on how much iron and organic material there was during its formation process; reds indicate some exposure to heat-loving minerals like silicaterosses while black slates contain no organics at all!
